Punchline, Batman, Joker

In this fan art cover I tried to portray a suspenseful composition imbued with mystery, drama and crazy tension. Hehe... well, or I just wanted to make cool and colorful art with passphrases.
In the middle of the night Batman arrives at the crime place and hopes to figure out what has happened. His dark appearance seems to be carved out of the night and every cell in his body signals that the danger is about to come. However, he is always ready to take the fight.
At the same time, Punchline has sneaked up on Batman from behind and the knife in her hand is ready to strike a fatal blow. Her eyes sparkle with sinister joy for she has a chance to finish off Gotham's night guardian.
And, of course, the Joker is the true conductor of this grim spectacle. He's watching with keen enjoyment what's about to happen. His eyes sparkle with madness and guile and a nasty smile plays on his lips. I deliberately decided to depict him close-up to clearly show his vile, maniacal and insane nature.
I decided not to bother with the background so as not to distract attention from the main characters. It shows the outlines of an amusement park with a Ferris wheel and a roller coaster, which are vaguely visible through the fog. It builds tension and anticipation while the cover itself invites the viewer to witness the drama to come.
And afterwards I sat down to correct the color correction and did it just the way I like.
